New phone, no apps
The shop is in full swing, and my schedule is booked out about three weeks or so. So I'm still pretty booked, but not AS booked as I WAS a few weeks ago. So that's good news for all of you.
It also helps that I've been turning away projects that I'm just not into. People come to me all the time for tattoos that I'm just not that into. There are five other tattooers at my shop, one of them can do it, or the customer is certainly free to look elsewhere for their work. I don't want to tattoo everyone on the world, just the ones that like what I do. I'd rather not spend days at a time drawing for a half sleeve that I'm just going to hate upon completion. So that's what's up with that.
Convention season is over. We are skipping Manchester New Hampshire again this year. We just don't have the time or the funds to apply to a trip like that. Sorry New Hampshire. Maybe next year.
Hers some of the work I've been doing lately.
I finished up this flash sheet in between appointments today...
Along with this one. These designs were mostly things I had laying around already or from my sketchbook. Time to put em up on the wall.
Tattooed this rose a few days ago and I love how it came out.
I finished coloring this girl with a deer on Candace a few days ago. She's definitely one of my favorite tattoos on one of my favorite customers.
And lastly I did this astronaut coverup on one of our old apprentices Josh (Blackie). There's an old Italian flag somewhere in there.
Thanks for looking. Hopefully I get to do some of those flash pieces soon. If you're interested contact me at liberty tattoo llc 860-828-8880 thanks!

Convention Season
Hey everybody, sorry for the lack of updates. This blog is the closest thing I have to a personal web site, so I know i need to get better about updating it. The winter season was rough at my shop; we had some dead spells for sure, but we made it out the other side and things are picking up with the warmer weather.
Springtime is convention time for me, and even though I don't do a lot of conventions, I do believe I hit the most important ones. Quality one quantity, or so they say...
Sharkey and I did the Mass Tattoo and Arts Festival in Sturbridge last week. We didnt bring our tattoo gear as we had intentions of only selling artwork and merch. Even though we didn't do as well as we usually do, we at least broke even on the trip. So that's something.
Up next is Scranton's Electric City Tattoo Convention. This show is a good one. A lot of good friends of ours do this show, and Scranton is a really fun town to hang out in. It's April 17th-19th.
After that is Roc City Tattoo Expo in Rochester, NY. Soooooo many heavy hitters at this one. If you're in the area it's not to be missed. May 1st-3rd.
Then I'm off the Mooncusser Tattoo in Provincetown, Mass from May 29th-June 1st. Good shop, good people, good times.
After that is the Live Free or Die Tattoo Expo in Manchester, NH, which is mid July. I will have to sure up the dates on that one.
So this past weekend we had a cookout at our shop to celebrate one year down after our move from our 853 Farmington Ave shop to our current location at 544 Deming Rd. We grilled up some burgers and dogs, drank some beers, and raffled off some prizes. Not many people showed, but all in all it was a good day.

I've also been belting out some new artwork and tattoos. Take a look:
